Stewardship Volunteer Day

Stewardship Volunteer Day

Volunteer with our Stewardship team for a wetland restoration project! The project site, the "Croft Wetland", is a habitat currently overcrowded by invasive vines and grasses. Help us uncover hidden pockets of natives, and make space for new plantings in the Fall.

Northern Westchester Butterfly Count

Northern Westchester Butterfly Count

An annual rite of summer, the North American Butterfly Count is a way for butterfly enthusiasts across the country to partake in a citizen science monitoring effort. Our resident butterfly enthusiast Charlie Roberto has been leading butterfly count walks at Teatown since 1995 to educate and encourage visitors to partake in this important effort.

Women Take to the Trails

Women Take to the Trails

Lace up your hiking boots and bond with fellow female hikers as we cruise the trails. We’ll observe the landscape as it transforms from summer to fall, enjoying the foliage along the way.

Color Hike

Color Hike

Start the season with an autumnal color hike, where we’ll look for the full rainbow of fall foliage. Be prepared for a moderately difficult hike through Hidden Valley. Wear appropriate hiking footwear, bring sun protection, bug spray, water, and a snack.

Labor Day Hike

Labor Day Hike

Say goodbye to summer with us as we take to the trails. Join Elissa Schilmeister, Environmental Educator, for a wide-ranging hike. We’ll keep our ears out for end-of-summer sounds, like cicadas, crickets, and more.
