Directions to Teatown

From New York City

  • Take the Major Deegan Expressway to the NYS Thruway 87 North to exit 9, Tarrytown (last exit before the Tappan Zee Bridge).
  • Take Route 9 north to Ossining. Watch for Route 133 on right. Do not turn. Stay on Route 9.
  • At the third light after Route 133, make a right onto Cedar Lane. (just past Mavis Tire)
  • Cedar Lane will become Spring Valley Road.
  • Teatown is on the left just after the large lake, approximately 3.8 miles from Route 9.
  • The Nature Center is a large Tudor style building on your left, the parking lot is just before.

From Putnam County/Northern Westchester

Route 9

  • Take Route 9 south to the 9-9A split. Bear left at split towards Briarcliff Manor -9A.
  • At Route 134 make a left. Follow Route 134 approximately 2-1/2 miles.
  • Look for the firehouse substation on right. In approx ½ mile, make a left onto Spring Valley Road.
  • Take Spring Valley Road approximately one mile, bear left at fork, staying on Spring Valley Road.
  • The Nature Center is the Tudor style building on your right. The parking lot is just after the building.

Taconic

  • Take the Taconic south to exit for 134 West Ossining.
  • After 1/4 mile, make a right turn onto Spring Valley Road.
  • Take Spring Valley Road approximately one mile, bear left at fork, staying on Spring Valley Road.
  • The Nature Center is the Tudor style building on your right. The parking lot is just after the building.

From Southern Westchester / Connecticut

  • Take 287 west to exit 3, Sprain north. Sprain will become the Taconic.
  • Take the Taconic north to the exit for Route 134. Make a left at the bottom of the ramp.
  • After 1/4 mile, make a right turn onto Spring Valley Road.
  • Take Spring Valley Road approximately one mile, bear left at fork, staying on Spring Valley Road.
  • The Nature Center is the Tudor style building on your right. The parking lot is just after the building.
