Cindy’s Garden is an educational sensory garden dedicated to the memory of Cindy O’Hanley. Cindy was a long time volunteer and Educator at Teatown, who shared her love of nature, and, especially plants with many budding naturalists.

The garden open daily from 9am to 5pm.

What is a sensory garden?
A sensory garden encourages interaction with the plants and insects that occupy that space, to stimulate the five senses. It is a quiet, contemplative space, meant for interacting with nature and learning by tuning into our senses. All are invited in to smell a leaf, watch a butterfly, compose a journal entry, listen to the insects’ conversations, or simply relax and let nature come to you.

Inside the mailbox you’ll find a journal to compose an entry, and a list of all the plants currently growing in the garden.

The current list is also here.
