Experience Nature through the Five Senses for Women

Members only meditation followed by a gentle hike around Teatown Lake. Throughout the hike we will focus on using the five senses to relax, be present, and take in nature. After the hike, enjoy a gentle stretching/ chair yoga class.

Learn about saving local, native seeds with Stewardship & Grounds Supervisor, Rebecca Policello. Participants will collect seeds from native plants in the Teatown meadows, package them up and learn how to plant them in the spring.

Leon, a respected mycologist and the editor of "Mushroom, The Journal of Wild Mushrooming," will share his expertise on the role fungi play in our ecosystem and the fundamentals of mycology. After a short indoor presentation, he’ll lead a walk to locate and identify wild mushrooms.
