Sugaring Saturday
Stoke up the fire, it’s sugaring season at Teatown! From tapping to collecting, boiling to bottling, Teatown’s naturalists will be sharing facts and folklore about this sweet time of year. This year, we will learn Lenape legends about the origins of this storied tradition.

Pancake Brunch 2026
By far our tastiest annual tradition! Start your day off with stacks of hotcakes and maple syrup, hot coffee, sausages, and more. Cap off the day with crafts celebrating the magnificent Sugar Maple tree.

Struggling Through Sap Season
The coming of spring at Teatown is usually heralded by a successful sugaring season. We gave Warren’s Sugar House a thorough scrub down in early February, dutifully set up and sanitized our evaporator pans, and tapped trees before Presidents’ Day. We thrilled to the gentle “tink, tink, tink” of sap falling in our buckets, but a few good days do not a successful sugaring season make.
