Annual Appeal 2017

Yes! I support inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

Dear friends,

Regardless of background or socio-economic status, research shows that positive childhood experiences in nature lead to pro-environmental behaviors in adulthood.

Alex Grabstein was a Teatown camper from age 5 to 15 followed by 7 years as a counselor which overlapped with his 4-year tenure as a member of Teens in Teatown (TNT)—our volunteer and social group for teens between the ages of 14 and 17. He graduated from Ossining High School before graduating from SUNY Binghamton this year with a degree in Environmental Studies. He has returned to Teatown to work full-time as an Education intern—teaching children every day the very lessons that inspired him fifteen years ago.

The unique natural features of Teatown and its forward-thinking education programs assure that young adults like Alex have the opportunity to pursue careers that are making an impact in environmental conservation. To ensure the success of the next generation of stewards, we need your financial support. Please give generously and support inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

Sincerely,

Kevin Carter
Executive Director
