Eel with Teatown Info Session (Ages 14+)

Learn how to join the team of volunteer eelers in this Zoom info session offered by Teatown’s Marie Roche and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
Teatown manages the Furnace Brook site as a part of the DEC’s American Eel Research Project. This requires mostly outdoor field work from late March through May, with very flexible schedules. Volunteers are able to explore local wildlife in the great outdoors while working collaboratively within a team.
Learn more about past eel counts on our Hudson River Eel Project page.
