An annual rite of summer, the North American Butterfly Count is a way for all butterfly enthusiasts to partake in a citizen scientist monitoring effort. Join Charlie Roberto to locate and count butterflies on the preserve. Participants should be prepared to hike over rough terrain. Ages 6+.

The “Wildman” Returns! Foraging for Wild Edibles

Teatown is a rich natural area full of edible and medicinal wild plants and mushrooms. The trails that encircle the lake guarantee an abundance of many common late summer herbs, greens, berries, and fungi. Please dress for the weather, with closed toed shoes. For everyone ages 12+.
