Saving Species: Endangered Animals
May 19, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

What does it mean for a species to be endangered and how can we help them? Find out how scientists and policymakers have brought wildlife back from the brink and learn what challenges still lie ahead. When we think of endangered species, exotic animals like African elephants, blue whales, and polar bears often come to mind. But did you know that local species are also under threat? Meet New York’s Tiger Salamander and Diamondback Terrapin, and learn how Teatown and other agencies have worked for their survival.
