The Making of “Wings Over Water”

Saturday, February 5 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a lively discussion with local film makers Andy Young and Susan Todd who talk about their soon-to-be released movie “Wings Over Water.” You’ll have a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes, watch clips of the movie, and learn about the secrets of making this exciting nature film.

Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated director/producers Susan Todd and Andrew Young are the principals of Archipelago Films, based in Pleasantville. The company has been making impactful natural history and social documentary films for the past three decades. They are known to Teatown audiences for their delightful “Backyard Wilderness” film, with many scenes shot at Teatown.

Narrated by acclaimed actor Michael Keaton, “Wings Over Water” tells the story of the epic journeys of three amazing bird families – the Sandhill Crane, the Yellow Warbler, and the Mallard Duck – with extraordinary footage of their fascinating behaviors. Audiences will be captivated by the triumphs and challenges of these remarkable creatures who defy all odds and soar across mountains, deserts, cities, and forests as they head home to raise their young.
