Teatown is proud to share that Executive Director Kevin Carter has been named one of City & State’s 2025 Westchester Power 100, recognizing the most influential leaders shaping the future of the county.

In its profile, City & State highlighted Teatown’s continued growth and impact under Carter’s leadership:

“Teatown Lake Reservation is a natural treasure that provides a lush habitat for Westchester’s diverse wildlife and serves as a recreational destination for residents statewide. Over the past 13 years, Kevin Carter has expanded the 1,000-acre nature preserve’s programs, including summer camps and courses for college students. Teatown was awarded accreditation as a land trust in February and is in the process of a two-year, $28 million renovation to redesign its nature center, add an environmental education building and build a green roof for outdoor events.”

This recognition celebrates Carter’s dedication to advancing Teatown’s mission of inspiring our community to lifelong environmental stewardship. Under his direction, Teatown continues to expand its reach as a hub for conservation, education, and environmental leadership across the Hudson Valley.
