Let’s Look for Lichens

Some of the most amazing ancient organisms are hiding in plain sight: join Environmental Educator Caroline Erb to tease out the complex relationship between fungi and algae that is lichen biodiversity. Take a hike and be prepared to look closely at these sometimes-unassuming organisms. Hand lenses optional! Please dress appropriately for prolonged outdoor activity, and be sure to bring sun protection, water, and a snack.
