Congratulations to our winners of the 2022 Teatown Hudson River EagleFest Photo Contest! We received amazing entries from 41 members of the greater Teatown community. Watch here to see the winning images:

The jury for the photography competition includes:

  • Bill Graham, long-time national and international birding photographer and Zeiss Sports Optics representative
  • Lisa Kelly, Teatown’s Animal Care Supervisor and expert raptor handler
  • Mike Stewart, noted Hudson Valley photographer (www.lens-work.com), administrator of the “Peekskill NY In Pictures” and “Historic Peekskill NY in Pictures” Facebook pages, and photography archivist at the Peekskill Museum
  • Kevin Carter, Teatown’s Executive Director

Entries must be submitted by e-mail to EagleFest@teatown.org with “EagleFest 2022 Photography Competition Submission” in the Subject line and must be received by 11:59pm ET on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Winners will be announced live on Thursday, February 3 at 12:00pm ET on social media.

This year’s photography competition is in honor and memory of Ed Mertz, a Croton-on-Hudson resident, long-time Teatown supporter, and well-known bird and nature photographer.

First-place, second-place, and third-place winners will receive Zeiss Sports Optics binoculars, and a fourth-place runner-up will receive a gift card from L.L. Bean.

Teatown’s annual Hudson River EagleFest 2022 takes place Friday, February 4 through Sunday, February 6, 2022. Visit www.teatown.org/eaglefest for full program descriptions and to buy tickets for in-person and Zoom programs.
