We’re always looking for new ways to reduce the environmental footprint of EagleFest, because even the smallest changes can have big impacts.
Take the Eagle Train
Taking public transportation is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint. Take the Eagle Train to Croton-Harmon Station with on-board naturalists!
Metro-North from Grand Central at 8:48 AM
Metro-North from Poughkeepsie at 8:50 AM
Free shuttles from Croton-Harmon Station to/from Croton Point Park run all day, so if you can’t take the Eagle Train, Metro-North is still an option
We’re partnering with Zero to Go
Did you know that the over 2,000 visitors that attended last year’s Teatown Hudson River EagleFest at Croton Point Park only generated 2 bags of trash for the entire day?
That’s thanks to our partnership with Zero to Go! We’re proud to announce that Zero to Go will be joining us once again in 2019 to help divert as much waste as possible from the landfill.
New this year: Rent-A-Mug
To reduce the amount of disposable cups used at the event, tumblers will be available for a $10 deposit that is returned to you when you return the tumbler. If you fall in love with the cup, take it home!
