Come Out & Play … in Nature’s Backyard!

Teatown’s Natural Science Summer Day Camp 2010 is jam-packed with adventure, discovery and hands-on fun in the out-of-doors. We’re catching frogs, collecting bugs, climbing rocks and exploring natural habitats all summer long!

Teatown Camp brings kids outside to learn about and explore the natural world in four two-week sessions that provide age-specific activities to encourage the spirit of discovery. Each session includes exploration and creative play that fosters childrens’ innate curiosity while teaching ecology and stewardship in Teatown’s abundant meadows, forests, lake and streams.

Camp Mission

Our mission at Teatown’s Natural Science Summer Day Camp is to provide a safe, non-competitive summer haven where kids can be kids, learn by exploring, discover new things about themselves, each other and the earth, and develop friendships and respect for all living things.

Our camp program has three goals:

  • To instill appreciation and understanding of nature
  • To develop a sense of place and belonging
  • To foster a sense of personal and civic environmental responsibility
