Teatown believes that an ecologically literate citizen makes smarter consumer and voting choices that help to create healthy, sustainable communities. Teatown Lake Reservation offers a number of environmental education programs and hikes especially designed for adults to increase their understanding and appreciation of nature and instill positive attitudes toward conservation and protection. We offer the following types of adult programming:
Adult Weekend Programs
Winter, spring, summer and fall, Teatown offers programs that are especially designed for adults, 18 years old and older. Depending on the season, we offer workshops, hikes, and outdoor physical activities like canoeing. All weekend programs are free for members and $5 for nonmembers (plus materials fee, if applicable), unless otherwise noted under each program.
Advanced Registration Required:
Advanced registration is required for all adult programs. Please call Teatown at (914) 762-2912, ext. 110, Tuesday-Sunday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. All events and programs must be paid for at the time of booking. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, or you can pay in person with cash or check.
Refund Policy:
No refunds will be granted less than two weeks prior to the event or program date. People withdrawing prior to this deadline will receive a 75% refund (25% charged for administrative costs). All events and programs will take place at the Nature Center unless otherwise noted.
