Teatown offers many hard-to-find and unique varieties of plants. But what truly sets Teatown apart is our staff and volunteers, several of which are master gardeners, who can offer advice on how to choose the best location for your garden, which plants to use and combine, how to care for the plants and create a show-stopping display.
Teatown has many colorful and unusual annuals and hanging baskets. Need advice on impatiens substitutions due to downy mildew? Let our experts help! We can create a colorful garden plant to suit your needs. We'll have lots of varieties of Begonias on hand. You may also consider Ageratum with it's beautiful and abundant blue flowers or Coleus, prized for it's interesting foliage in a wide array of colors and forms.
Be sure to attract butterflies to you garden with interesting annuals, such as Asclepias, Nicotiana, Agastache, and Petunias. Also, consider Salvias for both butterflies and humming birds.
Deer a problem? Try picking up some of these deer resistant annuals - Nicotiana, Begonias, Salvias, or Cleome or Garlic Clips!

Tour Wildflower Island
On Plant Sale Saturday, Teatown invites attendees to take a tour of our very special Wildflower Island. Tours will be free and ongoing from 10:30am-1:30pm.Visitors can enjoy the quiet beauty of this two-acre sanctuary with over 230 native and endangered species of wildflowers. Tours are led by experienced guides describing the unique features of the Island’s wildflowers, most of which are native to our area. Tours are intended for guests ages 12 and up.

Admission to the ‘first pick’ sale on Friday, May 8, 2015 (4-7 pm) is $10. On Saturday, May 9 (9-2), admission is free.
Parking will be located in Teatown’s Lakeside Lot on Blinn Road. The plant sale area is just a short walk from the parking lot. Handicapped parking is available in front of the Nature Center Building.
