Internships

An important part of our education mission is to encourage young adults to pursue careers in environmental science.  Teatown Lake Reservation provides two types of internship opportunities to college students:

Education Interns
Education interns have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of environmental education while assisting a naturalist with hands-on activities for adults and children of all ages. Interns will also be responsible for maintenance and handling of live animals for use in education programs.

Land Stewardship & Management Interns
Land stewardship and management interns will assist with the study and management of our 834-acre nature preserve. Duties include trail design and maintenance, exhibit construction and maintenance, grass cutting, tree trimming and landscaping care.
